WINE PRODUCER
ALBANIA

Albania as a wine producer

Albania is a country with a long tradition of wine production with a location on the Balkan Peninsula. Albania is located on the Adriatic and Ionian Seas with warm beaches and a sea crystal clear as the most beautiful gemstone. A large part of the wine culture disappeared during the Ottoman Empire after the country had previously been part of Europe’s wine development. When the country was then put behind an iron curtain and planned economy devastated the wine industry in the country.
